As a personal trainer, I'm always looking for ways to enhance my clients training programs, as well as my own! The Kynett flywheel has allowed me the ability to introduce eccentric overload in a safe and convenient way. Unlike other flywheel systems that only allow you to do lower or upper body movements, this system allows me the ability to do both, saving me money and space. Their customer service was also amazing when I reached out with questions and assistance on accessories to purchase.

The design is good, easy to use and it is made from quality material. It comes with a lot of accessoires. I love that one can use different mounts so all needs can be fulfilled. The fact this equipment can be heavily loaded is a big plus for me. Hopefully they make more compatible disks with heavier loads then the current ones

I can say in the short time I have had the flywheel it has given me awesome workout even with smaller flywheel. I like that it can be extremely effective rehab tool for all ages from improving performance to strength. I love that there is solid research evidence to its use. If you are an athlete or involved in rehab it is a most have tool. So far it appears very well constructed . Highly recommend

I use the force extender to connect to an overhead beam allowing me to do pulldowns and other overhead exercises. My beam has 4 eyelets allowing me to use different places to mount the force extender depending on the exercise I want to do.

I find flywheel training incredibly funny. It was something I had not expected, I expected it to be more like most other training, but no. The very first time I tried it I had a blast. Why is it funny? Fly wheel training is very reactive and if you pull it hard, it will pull you back just as hard. This engages not only your whole body but also your balance. Of course it also mainly trains the one muscle (group) you aim at with your exercise choice. Because it works by creating inertia in spinning discs, you only get out what you put it. So go full throttle, pull as hard as you can, and once the webbing has unwinded the inertia in the spinning discs will rewind the webbing and thus pull you back. You can easily overload. You use 2 hands to pull, but only 1 hand to stop. This way the energi from 2 hands has to be stopped by one hand and thus you get extra training. I was introduced to flywheel training by a friend who mentioned he bought a Kbox. I found that too expensive and not flexible. I did watch a lot of videos gathering information, seeing reviews. It convinced me I had to get a flywheel unit myself. I was unsure about noise levels during operations which turned out to be very low, even lower than a rowing machine which I've tried in gyms. I also wanted a solution which I could put away or perhaps even travel with. In the end I ended up buying a flywheel training unit from Kynett because it seemed the most versatile to me. This was early February 2024. At first I had it hanging on a wall where I already had some holes in the wall I could reuse. This worked fine and I ended up using it way more than I expected. So I began looking at accessories because it was rather limited what I could do with the fixed mount I had. The wall adjust makes it easy to move the flywheel up and down, but I still wanted to be able to put it away, and I only had that unused doorway and the backside of a wardrobe from ikea. I reinforced it with some cross laminated plywood and hopes it is sturdy enough to hold the flywheel. I think it is because by far most of the force I pull with are transferred into spinning the discs, so only a little has to hold the flywheel, the wall adjust and a little bit of pulling. Next up was the squat plate. At first I wanted to make a chest like thing I could open and store accessories inside, but that turned out to be quite expensive for something I could store elsewhere. I was also unsure just how much force I would apply when I did squats, so the pulley would have to be very securely attached, meaning screws longer than 1 plate is thick, and even just longer than 2 plates thick. I considered using kork, but it got stranded as I didn't have any and I couldn't find a shop near me. So I settled on using a foam mattress sandwiched between 2 cross laminated plywood plates because while I wanted a non slip surface to stand on, I also wanted it against the floor, and I did not want to put a hard wooden plate on my soft wooden floor. Also because the foam is slightly bigger than the 2 plates, I don't expect to get hurt if I bump into it or scrape against it. I didn't even glue it, it is held in place entirely by screws, and it turned out great. No slipping! No scratches in the floor 🙂 Squats using the harness accessory is also fun, you should try it. Don't worry, it is super variable and you never get more out than you put in yourself - meaning you can't injure yourself. No dropped weights, or weights that are too heavy, you just move with the flow and have fun, Loads of fun. Originally I also purchased the lift away mount, but I ended up not using it because I couldn't find wooden pole in the right dimensions :-(

I used the pulley to build my own squat plate from 2 cross laminated plywood with non slip surface on the top side of the top plate as well as the bottom side of the bottom plate. Sandwiched between the 2 plates is a thin foam mattress which is folded around the bottom plate. This gives me a strong sturdy base for mounting the pulley while also being soft on my floor and not slippery to stand on. Flywheel squats are so incredibly fun :-)

The refurbished item was unscathed, perfectly packaged and functions as new. This was an excellent way to get a high quality functional resistance machine at one of their lowest prices! If you're looking for the best deal that I've seen so far, black Friday deals were incredible. If you cannot wait another year, just pick one of these up and you won't regret it. If you're serious about making gains using eccentric resistance in one of the safest platforms, this is the way to do it. I'm a chiropractor of 30+ years and I wish I had several of these in my offices through the years for myself and my patients! I'm motivated to use this technology primarily in many of my workouts so I can concentrate on the eccentric phase which is very difficult to do with conventional resistance (weights, bands, weight stack functional trainers, lever gyms, etc). This machine saves time, allows me to access a very difficult part of training (eccentric phase), and allows me to perform high resistance exercises with a huge safety margin. Remember there is always a return policy you can take advantage of if this doesn't fit your program. So... What's your excuse?!

By purchasing and utilizing this simple pulley, the number of iterations of weight combinations expands! Essentially you can purchase fewer discs and get certain resistance combinations that aren't available without. It doubles your resistance, so if you have a single 4mm disc, you can double that with the pulley equaling the resistance of one 8mm. With two 4mm discs and the pulley, you've covered two 8mm discs! So now you don't have to purchase 8mm discs and you can move up from there. The included extended belt is very easy to swap which allows you the normal range of motion when using the pulley and when used without the pulley you have an extended range of motion. Initially I was skeptical but I'm very glad I included this with my initial purchase.

I purchased the Kynett Home. It is a quality device that seems like it will last for many years. The feeling you get on the eccentric phase is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. This has become my most used workout device. It provides unmatched, true full-body workouts. I also purchased the pulley support and force extender and I highly recommend both additions to get the most out of the device.

100% Best Training Equipment Purchase I have ever made!!! Replaces a whole cable machine functional trainer and takes up zero space, yet gives a better workout, and I received in 3 days after purchase while dealing with awesome customer service. Question: would you like to do a skierg and rower style workout in the same machine, but also use it for squats, curls, abs and lower back, chest flies, and much more? Then the Kynett is what you want! Here is my honest review without the sugar-coating. Here's my novel. My name is Joe. I am a U.S. Navy Special Operations Veteran, a former D1 Wrestler and MMA Fighter and Coach. I've had 9 surgeries mostly in my shoulders and feet, and countless other injuries. Despite this, I am still strong at 43 years old and very active. I am an avid surfer. For strength training, I have done it all and had some pretty stellar professional strength influences and coaches. Long ago I discovered that typical weight training became a bit monotonous, and about a decade ago I really became fascinated with unilateral training after years of shoulder issues. I performed very unique exercises during physical therapy. Subsequently, I started incorporating similar exercises into my workouts when I was in good health. I really got into kettlebell training about a decade ago and found the ability to do cardio, strength, flexibility, muscle memory, agility, vestibular and durability training all at the same time. However, with more procedures I needed to be able to isolate muscle groups better with less impact on my body, and I really wanted to target the eccentric phase of training (something we all tend to neglect). I stumbled upon Kynett, and all I have to say is, WOW! I was able to get the same benefits as kettlebell training, but even better!. The Kynett flywheel does so much more than what I was expecting. I didn't know what to expect. I thought it might be too easy, and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm 6 ft Tall and 230 pounds, and this little thing that fits on a single wall stud, is portable with the ratchet straps, or fits on my squat rack is a BEAST! But it is only hardcore if I want it to be. While in the middle of a set I can changeup to a lighter more cardio-oriented workout, an intense, explosive exercise, isometric or plyometric workout and more while in the middle of cranking out repetitions. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was soon doing HIIT Workouts (High Intensity Interval Training) in the same way I do kettlebell complexes. The difference is, that the Kynett pulls back. Therefore, for the first time in my life, I felt the intensity I used to feel on the wrestling mat with an external force working against me as if there was an opponent standing against me. It just makes training have so much more efficacy. Then, I use it to train my injuries and keep up with physical therapy where I have ongoing issues. Internal/external shoulder rotations on the Kynett flywheel is quite impressive and is way more efficient than using resistance bands. On a down day, or when I'm hurt I can get a stellar workout without the strain, and really target my injuries when needed. I even bought a sit down rower and do long 30-45 minute workouts with it. Let me tell you this thing blows away a typical rower. I also use it like a Skierg (ski workout), and its even more intense if I want it to be. I can load up 15 mm Plates and a Force Extender if I want to have a heavy load with larger muscle groups. Since I'm creative, I can install pulleys on the floor, ceilings and walls to get 90 degree angle changes (haven't done that yet but looking forward to it, but I do have the squat plate that does all that already). The Kynett can completely replace a Functional Trainer (Cable Machine) with zero stacks of weight and taking up none of the space. This keeps my garage spacious! I thought initially I would get 2 Kynetts in order to do Chest Flies...No need! The TRX-style, two-handled straps means one Flywheel allows for two arm use. I have a lot of exercise equipment, but the Kynett is definitely the most versatile piece of gear I have. I can not recommend the Kynett enough! My personal recommendation is to get the Kynett FIT, which is going to give the broadest range of resistances. I have the HOME as well, which is great for portability and taking outdoors. It is perfect for most things, but I like to go heavier and have more versatility. Here's another recommendation: try it several times before final judgement. I found it a little strange at first, but every time I used it I loved it more. I just had to get use to it. So expect a little familiarization time. To get started just adjust the strap close to where you want to stand in the room, then start pulling. Once the flywheel is moving, I move forward or away from the Kynett in order to find my full-range-of-motion (with small steps) without it snapping back too early, and so the strap always remains taught. Bottom line: the Kynett is AMAZING! I know I made the right decision now that I'm reading some of the peer-reviewed scientific and medical information on eccentric, flywheel-based training. This is even more the case having seen the price points and lack of flexibility on other flywheels brands. The Kynett is the next big thing in the fitness industry! I recommend it to all genders, ages and fitness levels. A big hulking power lifter could walk up to they same flywheel with the same disc size and get the same quality workout as an elderly woman with orthopedic issues. You get out what you put into it. Lastly, the Kynett Customer Service is stellar. They answered all of my exhaustive questions. I'm writing this so that maybe I can answer some of those same questions for you. I ordered from Virginia Beach, VA in the U.S. I received all of my items in only 3 days even though the packages came from the Netherlands! Shipping was free too. The squat rack mount works great on my REP Rack. I'm so stoked about this and find myself doing more flywheel exercises than anything else. However, I still supplement with the same exercise equipment I did previously. Some workouts I like better than others and some I just stick to my previous training. You just have to find what suits you. Having the Kynett can be a whole gym on its own (especially if space is an issue), or you can add it to your commercial or home gym setup.

Good quality, it is adjustable and can be used as an accessory for any type of training, not necessarily with flywheel

Plate is of good qulity but has to be bolted into the floor ortherwise it cannot be used safely, especially with heavier wheels as it is pulled up and towards the flywheel. It would be cool if it would include some sort of the bracket or something that would allow the plate to be mounted to something like power rack.

Less of a eccentric loader more of a anti concentric loader. Pedantic difference but important distinction. It will not replace a slow heavy free weight, but its a unique enough feel that there will be plenty of adaptation to get out of it. Game changer for shoulders. Very impressed.
